‍Step 1
‍Check that all players have provided a WHS ID. If they have not, ask them to do so. Some systems (like England Golf) allow you to search for a player with just their club and name, others require more details.
‍Step 2
‍Visit the player’s governing body website / app (depending on which country they are based in - see full list below) and search using the player’s club and name. You should then be able to view a full handicap history of the player.
You may need to send the player a connection request and have them accept before you can see their full history.
For England Golf, here is an article showing you how to do that:Â https://englandgolf.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/80001022142-how-do-i-add-a-friend-to-the-myeg-app-
‍Step 3
‍Ensure the player is using the correct CGC handicap tier:
Tier 1: Players with 12 or more rounds recorded in the 12 months prior to the tournament start date will compete using 90% of their handicap index.
‍Tier 2: Players with 3 to 11 rounds recorded in the 12 months prior to the tournament start date will compete using 75% of their handicap index.
If a player has not selected the correct handicap tier in their CGC profile please ask them to do so as this tier level will impact scorecard calculations in the digital scorecard.Â
If a player is refusing to disclose their WHS ID ahead of the match please contact CGC support and let us know so we can take the appropriate action.
